Here is the list of causes that we are most passionate about, and some organizations that we know of and admire their work. We personally contribute to these organizations. We hope you find this page helpful in your search for the right organization. However, we are happy to accept donations to any organization that aligns with our values and the causes. 

Mental Health

Causes & Organizations that provide mental health resources and work to remove the stigma surrounding mental health

  • The Mental Health Coalition - We are a coalition of the leading mental health organizations, brands, and individuals who have joined forces to end the stigma surrounding mental health and to change the way people talk about, and care for, mental illness.

  • National Alliance on Mental Illness - provides advocacy, education, support and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives.

  • Active Minds’ -  programs and resources focus on mental health awareness and suicide prevention for teens and young adults. In one year, we reached 529,054 students through campus awareness campaigns and events, and positively impacted campus environments through 450+ chapters located at high schools and colleges nationwide.

  • The Loveland Foundation - Loveland Foundation is committed to showing up for communities of color in unique and powerful ways, with a particular focus on Black women and girls. With the barriers affecting access to treatment by members of diverse ethnic and racial groups, the Loveland Therapy Fund provides financial assistance to Black women and girls seeking therapy nationally.

Gender Equity & Women Empowerment

Causes & Organizations working towards creating a world with gender equity and providing a platform for women empowerment

  • Girls Not Brides - Girls Not Brides is a global partnership of more than 1,000 civil society organizations from over 95 countries committed to ending child marriage and enabling girls to fulfill their potential

  • Write Girl - WriteGirl is a creative writing and mentoring organization that promotes creativity, critical thinking and leadership skills to empower teen girls and gender-expansive youth.

  • Girls Who Code - Reaching girls around the world, working on closing the gender gap in new entry-level tech positions. About half the girls they serve come from the underrepresented groups.

  • Malala Fund - Malala Fund is focused on accelerating progress — challenging systems, policies and practices so all girls can access 12 years of free, safe, quality education.

  • Legal Voice - They take action that directly contributes to lasting, systemic changes in society. In 1978, our founders envisioned a world free from gender oppression and discrimination. Their first case, Blair v. Washington State University, guaranteed equal access to school sports facilities and programs in Washington State—and set a national precedent. Since then, they have made progress in every area of the law that affects people who face gender discrimination.

Community

Causes & Organizations working to help the local communities

  • Monkey Business Cafe / Hart Community Homes - assists Orange County youth who are placed in the foster care system. They continue to provide services and support until the youth are emancipated successfully into the community. Their restaurant, Monkey Business Café offers a 6 month paid job training program.  Participants work one-on-one with a job coach to foster a pathway to success that includes work experience, employability skills and living skills.

  • No Us Without You - provides food security for the undocumented immigrants who are the backbone of the hospitality industry in the greater Los Angeles area.

  • Chefs to End Hunger - Their mission is to facilitate the redistribution of prepared food from hotel, restaurant and other foodservice customers, to local charitable organizations that serve meals to their communities in need.

  • Be The Match - manages the largest and the most diverse bone marrow registry in the world

  • Anaheim Family YMCA - The Anaheim Family YMCA serves the local communities with programs, services and initiatives that enable youth to realize their potential, offer families ways to have fun together, empower people to be healthier in spirit, mind and body, welcome and embrace newcomers and help foster social responsibility. These include various after-school programs and providing healthy meals for the families.

  • The Hidden Genius Project - The Hidden Genius Project trains and mentors Black male youth in technology creation, entrepreneurship, and leadership skills to transform their lives and communities.
