ABOUT

Pictures for a Cause

Pictures for a Cause was started in November 2019 by Suchit Parikh when one of his co-workers, Sara decided to use his photography services for her wedding. Suchit used to take assignments for portrait sessions and photo sessions for small events between 2007 and 2010. However, due to multiple factors, he had stopped taking photo assignments. The conversation with Sara rekindled the excitement that he had felt. He did not want to do it for money and Sara wanted to ensure that his effort did not go unrewarded. A couple of days after that conversation, the idea of providing his services in exchange of a donation to a worthy cause was born. This is a non-profit organization (not yet registered) and at the moment, the clients make their donations directly to the organization of choice and provide the proof of payment to the photographer via email or text.

The Mission

The mission for this organization is to provide a platform for social good through the medium of pictures. The ideas and opportunities are unbounded. It is our mission to help people create memories, have a great experience and go home with some smiles, laughter and a satisfaction of having helped a worthy cause.

The Vision

There is a grand vision to expand this platform to national and international level and to add multiple mediums of doing social good. First, we would like to add more photographers who would provide their services in exchange for a donation to a worthy cause of their choice. These photographers could be anywhere in the world. Further, we will be adding more mediums, e.g. enable photographers to sell their pictures. At the right time, we will be enabling the ability to donate directly through our website. You will be able to buy a photo session for someone else or be able to volunteer for a cause in exchange for a photoshoot. We are open to other ideas as well. Looking forward to making an impact with a smile!
